Support needed for Teacher Appreciation Week Celebration
Teacher Appreciation Week is coming and the Hospitality Committee is organizing a week full of events, gifts, and raffle baskets BUT we need support from our fellow Friendship families to pull it off. Do you want to show your appreciation, but are super busy right now? We totally understand and have made it really, really easy to participate!
We have created an Amazon Gift List with items you can order from the ease of your phone. Items will ship to the Hospitality Chairs and will be distributed during Teacher Appreciation Week. The last day to place an order to be included in the celebration is Sunday, 4/21/24.
This is the last event of the year for us to show our immense gratitude to our incredible AFHS teachers, please help us show them how much we value what they do for our students all year long!
Thanksgiving Pie Drive for AFHS Teachers & Staff
Our AFHS teachers and staff have been working so hard this year! Let's help take one thing off their to do list by offering each of them a pie to share over the Thanksgiving holiday break.
How to help
It's easy! Stop by your favorite bakery or grocery store and pick up a pie (or five!).
Feel like baking? Open the oven and bake up your favorite Thanksgiving pie.
In order to accommodate those with celiac and other gluten intolerance, we are requesting 12 gluten-free pies or desserts (since pie may be a challenge) as well.
How to prepare pies
Each pie should be labeled (pumpkin, pecan, apple, etc.) and noted if it contains nuts. Please try to avoid pies that must be refrigerated. Disposable pie pans work really well.
If you send in your pie in personal travel wear that you want back, please clearly label it with your name and contact information. We will collect it after Thanksgiving, then reach out to you.
Pie drop off
Preferred drop off is Monday, 11/20/23 before noon to the front office.
However if you need to drop off the pie(s) early, you may do so on Sunday, 11/19/23. You can leave pies on Melissa Timm's porch at 2612 Pizzo Pt, 27502
