Key Initiatives: Hospitality Committee
The Hospitality Committee ensures our AFHS staff feel supported, welcomed, and appreciated. Their efforts include stocking all teacher workrooms with coffee & tea, appreciation events, and celebrating our staff.
Apex Friendship High School is fortunate to have a high retention rate for teachers, bus drivers, administration, counselors, cafeteria staff, janitors, and all other support staff. The Committee coordinates all appreciation efforts (all staff including our bus drivers, custodians, and cafeteria) and also supports Student Services by providing snacks and drinks for students in need.
These efforts are provided by 100% parent volunteers and completely funded by the PTSA through the generosity of our AFHS community. Below are just a few of the events this year. Upcoming events include holiday celebrations, teacher appreciation week, and continual stocking of the teacher workrooms & student services snack/drink needs.

To welcome our teachers & staff back to school, the AFHS PTSA coordinated & funded a lunch during the first teacher workday in August.
